As the title of the concert indicates, we will begin our musical journey by following in the footsteps of Orpheus wandering around Tartarus in search of Eurydice, and end up among the stars, succumbing to the expressive suite from the Star Wars. Between these extremes, the artists will present a set of compositions that exhibit rhythm and dance. From a jazzy Take 5, through the musical overture by G. G. Gershwin, to Dixieland pulse. The highlight of the programme will be Liszt's Piano Concerto No. 1, which will be performed for us by 16-year old Rune Leicht Lund. In his home Denmark, the young pianist has been dubbed a ‘child prodigy’. The fact that Liszt, when composing his Piano Concerto No. 1, was not much older than the Danish soloist adds further spice to this performance.

RUNE LEICHT LUND -  was born on 19th of August 2003 into a family of musicians and started playing the piano at the age of 7-8 only for fun using the piano as a toy, without knowing any notes before he was 9 and had a real piano teacher, Martin Lysholm Jepsen,at Gradus Piano School. He soon went to competitions and won the first prize at the age of 10. After that he won many prices from international competitions and he has been playing more than hundred concerts in many countries among others: Georgia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, England and Denmark. At the age of 12, Rune was invited to participate in a TV program called “Wonderkids” at the Danish National TV station. He won the first price and was later offered to play as a soloist with some of the professional Danish symphony orchestras. He played the 2nd concerto by Ludwig van Beethoven with “The Danish Sinfonietta (Randers), Aarhus Symphony Orchestra (Aarhus) and The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (Copenhagen).
