At the end of this year's festival we would like to offer you an expressive mix of film music and explosive brilliance straight from New York's Broadway. The concert program will include the music of popular American composers, including the brilliant Rhapsody in Blue author G. Gershwin, who was best known as a composer of musicals. The festival will also feature works by J. Williams, a five-time Oscar winner and composer of film scores for nearly 100 titles. We will hear temperamental and vigorous suites from The Cowboy and the March from The Patriot. The programme will be complete with a touching theme from the film Somewhere in Time, a premiere performance of the Elegy by the Hungarian composer E. Zádor and the music to Ben Hur by his compatriot M. Rózsa.
