Jana Macíková was born in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. She graduated from the Conservatory in Bratislava, where she studied under Stanislav Mucha. During her studies, she regularly participated in masterclasses and consultations with distinguished figures of violin performance, including Jack Martin Händler, František Novotný, Midori Goto, among others.

She continued her violin studies at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava in the class of Professor František Novotný, where she is currently a doctoral candidate.

Jana Macíková performs regularly both in Slovakia and abroad and has received awards at international competitions (2025 - Intercomp international chamber music competition in Banská Bystrica - SK, 2025 Franz Schubert Competition in Ruse - BG)
