The Violoncello Vibrez concert offers a vibrant cross-section of musical styles and eras, presented by a rare ensemble of eight cellos that guarantees a rich, uniquely symphonic sound. The definitive highlight of the program is Astor Piazzolla’s brilliant composition The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, performed in a captivating and innovative arrangement for eight cellos. Born from a vision to unite generations of musicians sharing a profound fascination for the instrument, the ensemble showcases the cello’s exceptional capabilities, evoking a deeply lyrical quality, extraordinary emotional energy, and impressive virtuosity.

The project was conceived and directed by Cecylia Stanecka, a soloist with the Pomeranian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and an assistant professor at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where she leads her own cello class. She is an alumna of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, the Leopold Mozart Zentrum at the University of Augsburg, and the Bern University of the Arts. Stanecka has performed on prestigious stages worldwide. Her international footprint includes appearances at the Zurich University of the Arts, the Bern University of the Arts, the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar, the Warsaw National Philharmonic, the Grand Theatre – National Opera, and the New Theatre in Warsaw. Beyond Europe, she has graced the Hanoi Opera House (Vietnam), The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Kawaguchiko Stellar Theater in Fujikawaguchiko (Japan), and the Kissei Bunka Hall in Matsumoto (Japan). Her expansive classical repertoire ranges from the early Renaissance to the cutting edge of contemporary music. For this unique project, she has brought together talented fellow cellists from the Pomeranian Philharmonic alongside her students from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music.
