Michał Basista
Born in 2004, he began studying piano at the age of four. He graduated with distinction from the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Kraków and is currently pursuing his studies at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków. For over ten years, he has been under the artistic guidance of Dr. hab. Milena Kędra, Professor at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków.
He is a recipient of the Special Prize at the 2nd Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition (NOSPR, Poland), and a semi-finalist of the following competitions: the 2024 Borderland Chopin International Competition (Texas, USA), the 53rd National Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition (NIFC, Poland), and the 12th International Piano Competition for Young Pianists "Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam" (Poland).
He has refined his skills under the guidance of renowned pianists and pedagogues including Andrzej Jasiński, Janusz Olejniczak, Angela Hewitt, Nikolai Demidenko, Marc Laforet, Philippe Giusiano, Kevin Kenner, Ewa Pobłocka, Piotr Paleczny and Dina Yoffe
He has performed recitals at prestigious venues including NOSPR (Poland), the Steinway Piano Gallery in Warsaw, the Kawai Showroom in Warsaw, the Royal Castle in Warsaw and in Kraków, the Fryderyk Chopin Museum and the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, and the Kraków Philharmonic. As a soloist, he has performed with the Lviv Chamber Orchestra, the Polish Art Philharmonic, and the Polish Orchestra Sinfonia Iuventus.
He has been awarded scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Children's Fund, and the Rotary Club Kraków for his artistic achievements. He has qualified for the Preliminary Round and First Stage of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, being among 85 world-class pianists.
Gabriele Strata
With pianism defined by critics as “of extraordinary sensitivity and perfect technique” (Il Sole 24 Ore), Gabriele Strata has emerged as one of the most compelling Italian pianists of his generation, recently awarded the Silver Medal, Audience Prize, and Chamber Music Prize at the 2024 Concours Musical International de Montréal.
He is also the First Prize and Audience Prize winner of the 2023 Rio de Janeiro International Piano Competition, and recipient of the XXXV Premio Venezia. In 2021, Teatro La Fenice honored him with the historic Una vita nella musica – giovani award for outstanding artistic merit.
Strata appears regularly in leading concert seasons and venues across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, including, Berliner Philharmonie with Sinfonie Orchester Berlin, Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, and Cadogan Hall in London, Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Sala Verdi in Milan, Maison Symphonique in Montréal with Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Sala São Paulo, Minato Mirai Hall in Yokohama, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai with the Symphony Orchestra of India. He has performed under the baton of conductors such as Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli, Xian Zhang, Roberto Tibiriçá, Baldur Brönnimann, Enrique Diemecke.
With repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary works, his Wigmore Hall debut was acclaimed as “a recital of perfect creativity, securing his place in the uncompromising world of concert halls at only 23 years of age” (Crepuscular Musings).
Strata trained under Boris Berman, Benedetto Lupo, and Ronan O’Hora. He earned his Master of Music from Yale University at age 19, and later completed Artist Diplomas at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. He is currently mentored by Julia Mustonen-Dahlkvist.
David Khrikuli
Georgian pianist David Khrikuli has rapidly emerged as one of the most distinctive young voices of his generation. After winning his first international piano competition in the Netherlands at the age of eleven, he soon began to attract international attention for his natural musicality, poetic imagination, and technical mastery.
Davit has been a prizewinner and special award recipient at numerous international competitions across Georgia, Russia, the Netherlands, Denmark, Kazakhstan, China, the United States, Italy, and Spain. His artistry has been featured in solo recitals, chamber collaborations, and concerto performances with orchestras such as the Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Camerata, the Israel Philharmonic, and the Moscow Philharmonic, among others.
He has performed with distinguished chamber ensembles including the Pablo Casals State Quartet, and he maintains a long-standing artistic friendship with the Sulkhan Tsintsadze State Quartet in Tbilisi. Davit has also benefited from the mentorship of leading pianists and pedagogues, among them Elisabeth Leonskaja, Rena Shereshevskaya, and Nelson Goerner.
In 2024, he won both the First Prize and Special Prize at the Cantu International Piano and Orchestra Competition, as well as the First Prize and Audience Prize at the Vigo Piano City International Competition, where the jury included Martha Argerich, Cyprien Katsaris, and other renowned artists.
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, in 2001, Davit began his musical education at the age of eight. His early mentors included Daredjan Tsintsadze, Revaz Tavadze, and Galina Eguiazarova. He is currently continuing his studies at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid under the guidance of Prof. Stanislav Ioudenitch.
A finalist of the International Chopin Piano Competition, Davit became one of the audience’s favourites worldwide for his expressive depth, refinement of tone, and captivating stage presence.
